Hidden Hills Artists In Residence
Excerpted from Hidden Hills Magazine, Winter 2014-15, “Creative Inspiration.”
Every Monday for more than 24 years, a small group of people gets together in a barn and shuts the world away. They set up their easels, adjust their brushes, mix their paints and get to work on their art projects. “It’s creative psychology and much cheaper than therapy,” says group founder Karen Wollons, a Hidden Hills resident who encouraged professional visionary artist Gary Soszynski to come and teach an art class in the community.
The group, which consists of 7–8 women and Soszynski, has become quite close over the years.
